The OECD’s index of leading indicators for China, India, Brazil,
Canada, Britain and the eurozone have all tipped below the warning
line of 100, with the pace of the decline in Europe exceeding the
onset of the Great Contraction in early 2008.
Professor Simon Johnson, a former chief economist at the IMF,
rattled nerves earlier this week by warning the world is “looking
straight into the face of a great depression”.
The grim data is coming thick and fast. Japan’s machinery orders
fell 8.2pc in September as the post-Fukushima rebound lost steam
and the delayed effects of the super-strong yen began to bite.
Export orders have been declining for eight months. “Outright
contraction is possible in the quarters ahead,” said Mark Cliffe
from ING.
Exports in the Philippines dropped 27pc in September, the sharpest
fall in two years. Korea’s exports have showed sharply, caused by
a 20pc slide in shipments to Europe. Manufacturing has been
contracting for the past three months…
Fiscal and monetary stimulus has disguised the underlying sickness
in the debt-laden economies of the West over the past two years.
This heavy make-up has at last faded away, exposing the awful
visage beneath.

Torments have been called down on this system of things. The destruction of this system cannot and will not be stopped. The 2 mandates demanded by the Kingdom I represent ( which would stop this destruction) will not be instituted. Keep in mind that Christ said that certain events will and must occur. In the same period global GDP arose only 4% and is way behind!!

I am a Canadian and on this past weekend in Vancouver BC we believe that GOD ALMIGHTY made an amazing shift in the heavinliess . Put your Trust in the Lord. He it is that keeps us. It is His provision upon which we rely, not the world’s. It matters not whether there is a Great Depression. God is our Saviour, God is our provider. He ordained Joseph son of Jacob to Egypt to provide in a time of famine. He fed Elijah the prophet by the brook Kerith, with the king’s food, nicked from his table by God’s corbies. When five thousand men, not including however many women and children may also have been present were hungry, Jesus broke up five loaves and two dried fishes to feed that vast number–and there were twelve baskets of fragments remaining. Fear not. Our God is more than able.
We’ve been mired in all things hinky geo-politically & economically for so long, I fear we are like the frog slowly dying in water that was once livable; but with increasingly rising temperatures causes death.
I agree with others that fear is not a warranted response for the believer. If ever there was a time to make our calling & election certain, and to share the only Good News we have to offer, today is that day.

We are not to fear these coming times yet we will if we are not in true obedience to God.
I have found in my years that most mature Christians have good assurance regarding their relation with God, but can have weakness of assurance concerning the many they love and hold dear. This can of course be a strength in good times, but can draw from assurance during bad.
To be not in debt means debt to the world, yet until the end we will reside in this world, so debt takes on a need for better understanding.
In the last days there will be a remnant that comes out of the Great Tribulations, a time of Satan as ruler over this earth. Some believe this remnant are only the upright and righteous meaning the Chosen we call Jewish, but I believe scripture does not support this limit.
What I am certain, is that not many understand or are prepared for conditions of the last days, and woe to those that cannot handle emotions. I am also certain that little is as it appears, or as the church is told, being told by those both in the world and in the church… that serve a lesser god.
good word – and another sober warning to get our affairs in order – spiritually speaking – that is…. The same God that took Israel ( millions ) through 40 years in the desert – providing for them every step of the way; – is the same God we serve today – Who will see us through, once more – performing the miraculous…. I had a dream several years back – where I was looking to the south and it was a cloudy, grey day, and storm clouds had gathered…. In particular – were a set of mountains, off in the distance where I noticed a cluster of very black clouds gathered over them. When I saw them, an ominous feeling settled in my heart. I knew they meant trouble. As I gazed at them with an uneasy feeling, I noticed them leave the spot where they were hovering in the air, and I watched them head in to town – in my direction. When they reached the city limits, the small cluster of clouds dropped down from the sky and were now at tree-top level. They continued heading my direction, and came in to the neighborhood where I was. I was now inside a house, standing inside a glassed in porch, and the porch was crowded with other people, although I wasn’t shown who they were, except for my older sister, whom I had wondered if she was saved or not. As the clouds floated by the house, I noticed that one main/bigger cloud had two small beady eyes in it and these eyes were scowling and mean and looking from side to side, as if the cloud was looking for something or someone. The cloud also has a hissing sort of sound coming from within it – like when water drips on an exposed electrical wire… As it passed directly in front of the house I was in, everyone inside the porch stood perfectly still; no one moved, and everyone was quiet. When the cloud went by the house, instead of continuing down the street, it turned and headed between our house and the house next door and towards the back yard. So I ran through the house – to see where it was headed, and when I got to the back door, I saw the black cloud drifting towards the alley, and I wanted to go outside and watch where it went, and a voice inside me said ‘ no – stay in the house…’ and so I looked out the kitchen window and saw the cloud head to the school playground across the alley from the house. On this playground, I saw a multitude of people – well dressed – standing around and visiting and eating and drinking, and then I noticed a bride – in full bridal attire- standing in the midst of the crowd gathered, and I thought ‘ this must be a wedding reception…’ but then I immediately wondered what they were doing outside – when it was obviously about to storm. Then I saw the black cloud stop – directly above someone – and when it stopped drifting, as it hovered over a man – thick, hairy, tarantula-like arms came out of the cloud and reached down and picked up the man and lifted him up, and broke his neck and dropped him to the ground – dead. Everyone around the man seemed totally oblivious to what had just happened…and I was shocked at what I just saw…. Then the cloud went to the next person and picked him or her up – broke his or her neck – and again – dropped the person to the ground, and again – everyone was totally unaware of what had just happened…. I was so terrifyed at what I was seeing, that I woke up from my dream; my heart pounding… I asked the Lord to show me what He was showing me, and He said ‘ a storm is coming, and I have shown it to you.. so that you will warn others…” ( A porch represents a place of decision – just as in Solomon’s temple – there was a porch across the front of it – held up by two pillars – names Jochobed and Boaz. But that’s a whole nother story….) Anyway – when the cloud was directly in front of the house I was in ( with others) we stood perfectly still and did not move – representing the fact – that as judgement falls – we are to ‘ be still and see the salvation of the Lord ‘. I saw my sister in the porch – which was the Lord’s way of reassuring me she is saved and will make it through the coming judgement. Being in the house – represents being in the House of the Lord – in other words, being in God’s will… Just as the Psalmist David wrote ‘ one thing have I desired of the Lord – that I may dwell in the house of the Lord forever…’ He was stating that his desire was to always be in God’s will… Anyway – when the ‘evil’ cloud went to the playground, it was seeking to destroy the bride of Christ – all the people gathered on the playground. These peopleon the playground, represent all the Christians that do not take God seriously, and are living for and in and of this world, and are just not taking God seriously, but rather playing games with Him. I can’t stress enough – how this shattered my thinking that – once saved – always saved – because I beleive what God was showing me – was not only a warning, but also that His Word is true – that whosoever takes the mark of the beast – will be eternally damned… and I saw one by one – Christians being destroyed during the storm that is coming…

Marching toward Globalization
With global markets interconnected, today’s rapidly growing economical uncertainty is helping prepare the world’s political landscape for major changes towards globalization. The effects of longstanding dictatorships being toppled in the Middle East, and European countries facing economic collapse, are felt globally.
In such a climate of dire predictions there are those who have taken to the streets in protest of years of corporate greed and corruption, seemingly endorsed by politicians and paid for with hard earned tax-dollars. Although these protesters obviously lack a form of leadership and clearly defined objectives, they all share a strong sense that things need to change. As global disasters are lurking on the horizon, and with our world getting smaller and smaller, it seems inevitable that eventually all countries on earth will somehow be impacted by what happens in other nations.
We have already seen strange viruses easily spread through modern travel. And the fact that about 20Mio tons of waste from the tsunami in Japan are floating towards BC’s coast shows that we are not immune to the fallout of another nation’s calamity.
With biblical prophecies of increased numbers and magnitude of earthquakes and famines already fulfilled, there is also the prediction of globalization and a one-world system. And while the UN is steadily gaining power and influence such a prediction seems more probable every day. Perhaps, if we would study the Bible we might find more answers to the world’s future than any politician could give us.

Very interesting indeed! Great research on Oil markets etc, etc, all in the light of Biblical prophecy.
On a more practical basis what have people done here to get out of debt. Some christians thinks that debt is bad but a mortgage is ok. I see mortgage as debt. The Lord has led my family to get out of debt 3 years ago, this meant the selling of our house and the paying down of the car loan. By Gods grace we are debt free, in rented accomodation. I am not interested in being lectured about rent being dead money, Jesus did not own property and neither did Paul. Anyway if you have a mortgage you can just as easy lose your job and lose your home and still owe debt.
I used to listen to a preacher ‘who is now with the Lord’ he said that the anti-christ would ‘forgive debts’. As a sort of mimick of God forgiving our ‘debts/sins’. I have been doing some research into debt forgiveness and the idea is definatly around. They would forgive debts and perhaps reboot the system. As most people have mortgages or personal debt I am sure they would be delighted to have it forgiven, but I am sure that having your debt wiped out comes with some sort of ‘price’ maybe a oath or agreement to be bound by the new financial system. This is only my opinion/musings.
When God said ‘owe no man anything but love’ I think he meant it.
No worries, Mervyn King (BoE) and SuperMario (ECB) will soon be printing money like the days of the Weimar republic. Inflation will soar, and people who borrowed more than they could ever pay back will find their debts evaporated by inflation (they want debt forgiveness as they drink their champagne). Meanwhile, the old pensioners who saved for their own independence will find their savings eaten away very quickly by the locusts of inflation.
That debt forgiveness sounds like Esau selling the birthright for a bowl of soup.
DEFLATION is the great theme in a true Depression. Expect in the near term for the US dollar to climb and for Deflation to continue to dominate. The big example, of course, is Housing – which has been “daflating” now for at least 4 years.

The debt that we should all give full thought to is the debt that others owe US.
If anyone is in debt to US we must be prepared to forgive their debt.
Father forgive us our debts as we forgive the debts against us.
Trespass is no different to debt.We must be prepared to forgive willingly and sincerely with a true heart.
As for fear, anyone who believes ‘ON’ Jesus Christ will be saved.
It is not believe ‘IN’ it is believe ‘ON’
To believe ON is to fully follow Jesus The goal is to catch Jesus up and have him abide in us but if we are too late and there is not enough time then as long as we are truly following and not being complacent then we will be saved.
Understand what it is to FOLLOW the Lord..
It is to believe every word he spoke and everything he did.
It is to fully apply ourselves to his example.
If you think this is too severe then check the Scriptures.It is always ‘On’ with regard to belief in the son.

There definitely seems to be a domino effect still going on. !st banks hit, then nations that bailed them out, now the global economy. Could this be leading to Rev 6; 5 “The Third Seal:Scarcity on Earth”? Which predicts a days wages for a loaf of bread.
[Its good to be able to drop on in here, on this site, with almost likeminded peple, after being battered around in the world. Im going to try to be a bit more gentle in future. The people around me, unbelievers, seem to be getting turned against Christians with all sorts of devilry (trouble making) going on].
Unbelievers will be giving Christians a hard time more and more.Christians bring some of it on themselves by judging unbelievers and by claiming they have it made,they are going to be raptured.
The world see people who call themselves Christian claiming the moral high ground when they have no right to be there.I see this too.
Years ago, early 2008, prior to the economic problems, I had that Tsunami dream, of two waves. The first was minor (2008), the second was catastrophic. You can find it on my blog.
In May of this year (2011), I had another double Tsunami dream. The first was small, once again, and the second was very large. Once again, I awaited as the first Tsunami came late this summer. I believe the next one is soon, but I do not know “how soon”. It could be this month, it could be next year.
I believe my first Tsunami dream in 2008, was regarding the 2008 downturn, and the coming depression. I believe my second Tsunami dream this year was regarding the small blip this summer, followed by the depression.
Keep in mind that I am not a prophet. Also keep in mind that I may be interpreting them incorrectly, but we will soon find out.

Housing prices here have been artificially high for some time. Relatively cheap credit over many years increased the ability of many to borrow higher amounts – that effectively helped to push up property prices. The bursting of the “property bubble” has been predicted on and off for two or three years. But people still buy property at inflated prices and banks still lend them the money to do it.
Also far too much trust been placed in the mining boom, which has also helped push up costs in some areas. For example, Perth, Western Australia was one of the cheapest places for real estate a few years ago, now it is very expensive, because of the profitable mining businesses in the north of the state.
Australia weathered the GFC very well, and that has probably instilled a false confidence. Things could very well hit many people much harder because of that.
False confidence encourages people to take on debt they can barely repay, when things turn worse they have nothing to fall back on.
Earlier I said something about putting all the eggs in the one basket. Maybe that in itself is not a problem – it depends what that basket is. Trusting all of our “eggs’ with God is the only security.

There was a vision of the earthquake that hit Japan that made the 20′ tsunami. The warning was to move from the west coast. The economic collapse, famine and wars were to follow that.
Why is it people say “`God brings it down”
This seems to me as daft as telling your child not to run across the road in traffic, then the rest of the family saying “See, we warned you. Dad made that bus hit you for being so bad”
The GFC is man made, not God made!
Given the nature of unrepentant man. God has to do very little to bring destruction on the planet! Mankind is doing it very well on his own.

Best we all start downsizing our dependency on the world and upscaling our trust in God. Every minute, every dollar, every interaction, every prayer, must be well spent.
Inflation (stressful times) is about to hit and depression (lack of relationship with God) will affect many who do not redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16) by “rescuing or recovering their time from waste; to improve it for great and important purposes.” Yes, how much better it is to get wisdom than gold (proverbs 16:16) and of obtaining intelligence than fine silver. “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich … ” (Revelation 3:18). Lord, let us not be lukewarm. Let us allow God to purge the dross from our lives and use us as His vessels. “Let’s honour all men.” Let us love one another, encourage one another, speak the truth in love, as the day approaches.
Let us be as the Church Philadelphia, faithful, keeping His word and declaring His name. Lord, help us to hold fast what we have that no one may take our crown. Let us proclaim liberty to the captives. The day is fast approaching. Let’s be ready, and fear not – our strength comes from the Lord.
The watchmen are posted on the walls,their job is to shout a cry,blow a trumpet at the first sign of the approaching enemy.
Cries and trumpet calls are many on this thread and everyone has gone to the wall to see the enemies approach.
It is time to now get off the wall and get doing what has to be done to prepare for the coming onslaught.

Not really. It seems surreal for sure though. I think we all need to wait on God for direction though. Some will need to remain where they are, and continue on as they have, while others may need to pick-up and leave wherever they are. While the coming days may be dark, God is the light for those who trust him. The 5 virgins were comfortable to “wait” in the chamber, while the other 5 who were not prepared, thought it was a good idea to go get some oil, rather than wait for the bridegroom.
Might be time to truly “batten down the hatches”, my friend.

We have to catch up with Jesus,The Father comes with Jesus,we catch up as a result of FOLLOWING Jesus.Then we too have the Father as He does.
We must meet him in the air,that’s off the ground.Waiting on the ground won’t do it.Jesus is in the air.
The virgins,those who’s oil had run out, didn’t go to get some oil,there was nowhere to get more oil by the time they reached the chamber.It was too late,they had not thought ahead,they took too little oil with them,they had not prepared,they took a chance that they may have enough oil and they did not.
The virgins with enough oil had none to spare,they needed all the oil they had,to share their oil meant none of them would have enough oil.
The virgins with insufficient oil had their lamps go out.They lost the light,lost their way,lost the sight to see.
The wedding chamber is at the very end of our journey,just before the groom appears.It’s too late to buy more oil then.What we have will be sorely tested to it’s limit and if our oil runs out the light goes out.
Jesus is the light.the ‘light of the world’,God’s light comes to us by way of Jesus Christ.He comes to us by way of the Holy Spirit,The Spirit is the oil.Jesus sent the Spirit to us when he ascended into the air.The Spirit guides us on our journey to Jesus into the air.
We need oil for this journey.The oil running out means never getting off the ground.To be sure of having enough oil we must be ‘filled’ with the Holy Spirit,filled with oil to spare.
Waiting on the Father is not to wait for Jesus,who in Scripture waited for Jesus? To follow is not to wait,to follow is to eventually catch up.
If we are waiting for Jesus then we can only be in the wrong place.
This is very important.Many will lose the light to see.many will get to the very chamber yet not get to meet the groom.They will be outside gnashing their teeth in darkness with plenty of lamps but no oil.
These are not unbelievers,these are followers of Jesus who do not make it due to not being prepared.

Parables and their understanding is crucial to our journey.Jesus was asked by his disciples why he spoke in parables,he ALWAYS spoke to the multitude in parables,he replied that it was so the blind would not see and the deaf would not hear.
Yet Jesus came to give sight to the blind and heal the deaf.It is our faith that heals us,our faith that gives us sight and hearing.Our faith determines how much oil we have for our lamps.Faith is an active thing,it is not static,faith must be applied in action.
Faith is to be tested to its very limit of endurance,tested by God.
Sitting around waiting is complacency,we are supposed to be ploughing our field.Some have not even completed building their house.(Proverbs).
When we book a cab for the airport do we sit around and wait for the cab to arrive before packing our bags and checking that we have everything we need for the WHOLE journey.No it would be folly to not be prepared with everything we need when the cab arrived.
We would risk missing our flight.With God there is only one flight available,there’s no alternative flight.It’s a once in a lifetime thing.
The watchmen cry out,their cry is ‘get everything in order,get your house,your SELF in order.Jesus speaks through God’s watchmen,
He reminds us of what must be done.DENY SELF and MOVE,FOLLOW Jesus.

There are two things I have noticed with all this. The first is our disobedience as a civilization.
Usury was warned against in the scriptures, that is the charging of interest which became the norm in the banking industry and spread to the corporations. This is what created the dept and the invention of the credit card with its 14 to 26 % interest charges being the finishing blow. Forcing the existence of money out of nothing is a stupid idea.
The second being the prediction of the 3rd black horse in the breaking of the seals. It is only now that these predictions can in fact happen on a truly global scale. I think we are very close to the end of this age

The entirety of scriptures points to rest, not work. The work of God is only a result of rest “in Him”. If anyone thinks they stand, they need to take heed lest they fall. If they think work comes first, then they are most certainly headed for a fall, and even possibly a loss of salvation.
Hebrews 4:10 relates to the SABBATH,resting in the SABBATH.Jesus rested in the SABBATH 24/7.
God WORKED for 6 days before resting on the 7th.
Being saved does not enter us into the Sabbath.Being saved is the beginning of our work towards the Sabbath.
The Sabbath begins with one day a week and culminates with 24/7 Sabbath.
It takes WORK to get there.Scripture calls it overcoming.That’s what the Holy Spirit is for.If we don’t do the work we grieve the Holy Spirit.We must Overcome.Jesus said that.
Watch out for false doctrine.There is much of it in the church.It will get us lost and vulnerable to attack.

Nebuchadnezzar and Egypt’s Pharaoh both had prophetic dreams concerning their futures and the future of their nations. Does that make them Prophets?

As for teaching,I am not anybodies teacher,only God appoints his teachers.I have never professed nor claimed to have the GIFT of teaching.
I share my understanding ,no-one need accept my understanding.I would suggest that no-one should ever accept another man’s understanding with out checking it out with the Holy Spirit.
Accepting men’s understanding is what has got us into the trouble we are in.

when you first mentioned dreams in an earlier post you called them “prophetic dreams’, not just dreams.
Those who interpreted these dreams were Daniel, the Prophet, and Joseph who was NOT a Prophet.
The office of a Prophet is very unique and a specific one, and quite different from a prophetic gift, which can be a one-time gift. A prophetic dream, as in the cases of Nebuchadnezzar and Pharaoh, and the gift to interpret such a dream are unique too. These dreams were indeed prophetic, looking at the meaning of the word, ‘prophetic”. (Foreshadowing, Revelatory)

If you build with something that has not been given to you by God, you build with your own works. Our own works will be as wood, hay, and stubble.
I am not referring to sitting on one’s rear end until the end of time. I am referring to abiding in the vine, and receiving the supply that the vine gives, and not attempting to go outside that vine.
Your interpretation of the sabbath, in Hebrews 4, is very lacking. It is MOST CERTAINLY referring to a more general way in which we serve God. It is not AT ALL referring to a physical sabbath.
Do you not know that the sabbath, and all of the old testament customs, are shadow pictures of the way God deals with us? They are not the very image of those things, they are only earthly examples of the way in which we need to serve God.
If we approach the alter, with our own strange fire, we will be consumed. What is that strange fire? It is works of SELF. Drawing from our own desire to please God, not realising that what pleases God is complete trust in Him.
The Israelites needed to work, to prepare for the sabbath, so that they might rest that day. We must strive to enter into His rest, that we might CEASE from our OWN works. The husband-man must be FIRST partaker of the fruits.
Are we bondmaid, born of the flesh, or are we freeborn, born of the Spirit?

In the case of dreams, look at this case
Mat 27:18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

Mat 27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
This woman was not a prophet and not even of the faith but was used to pass on a warning. Probably because she was close to the subject

The dream you brought forth above I kind of look at differently.
The reason is because when Peter in Matt.16 was rebuking Yeshua because he had just said that He was to suffer and die, Yeshua said get thee behind me satan….
In other words it was His purpose to come and die. Caiaphas, was said to have been prophesying unknowingly of this, yet with the dream above it would seem as if Pilates wife was also trying to thwart His purpose. She even states that He torments her in dreams. I do not see how He would torment her– this is the job of the enemy to torment, unless she just did not understand the purpose and it seemed to be as a torment because she did not understand. She refers to Him as a just or righteous man, and thus Pilate on several occasions tried to wash his hands of it, as Peter brought forth in a message and spoke that they had crucified Him when Pilate was willing to let Him go.
I guess I have questions in my own mind as to why this would be a warning except for the fact to give her husband the heads up and allow the people to do their damage instead of it being one man Pilate??
Jesus blood had to be spilt for the people or his death would have been in vain.

Just like the sacrifices of the Old Test. The priests sacrificed the lamb for forgiveness of sin.
As I understand the Sabbath it is a state of rest in God.It comes after work,when work has been completed it is the time of rest.God calls it the Sabbath.
God set the example,the template for Sabbath rest.he worked very hard and diligently for 6 days and then rested from his work on the 7th.
This is the model we must follow.Work comes first,we must plough our field and build our house.When the capstone has been finally fitted to the roof of the house it is time for the Sabbath rest.
Sabbath days are a mere shadow of the fulfilled Sabbath true.
If we are waiting for God having not done all the work required then we are not in true Sabbath we are merely being complacent,meaning self satisfied.
It is an illusion to think we can avail ourselves of rest when there is work still to be done.

The work comes AFTER salvation and leads us to perfection.
As far as our “works”…
First of all: The act (work) of repentance does not gain salvation, rather, salvation leads us to repentance.
Jesus died and made a way for salvation long before we were born and would ever have repented. In fact…”as by the offence of one (Adam) all are condemned, even so by the righteousness of One (Jesus) all can find life.”
It is really Adam’s sin (DNA) that condemns me from the day I was conceived in my mothers womb. But it is also ONLY Jesus’ work on the cross that saves me.
Where am I in that picture?
It took God to create us. It took His son to save us, and it takes His Holy Spirit to work in and through us as He accomplishes His great purpose here on earth.
When it comes to our works, whatever we do in our own, flesh nature and based on our own understanding, only serves to tickle our egos, and it will always fall short. Only if we lay it all down and truly surrender our lives to Jesus, and then walk by faith alone can we please Him.
“But without faith it is impossible to please God.”(Heb. 11-6)
As we truly surrender we are practically just a tool in the wonderful hands of our great and awesome Savior, Jesus!
As someone once said:
“People of unshakable vision and indefatigable perseverance are those who have been with the Lord long enough, consistently enough, and deeply enough to know that He delights to help us accomplish the impossible dream HE GIVES US.”
Wanting to be used by God and to “work” for Him (inspired by His Spirit) is the result of a deep and true love for the One who saved us. Naturally, someone who genuinely loves will always feel the urge to express such a love in practical ways.
Love can never stay contained or it explodes. The work HE INSPIRES us to do will never be a chore or unfruitful as it carries His signature, and even His presence. This is the quality of our work.
And then He alone gets ALL the Glory for whatever we do!

Work towards overcoming is nothing to do with salvation.
We CANNOT earn salvation,SALVATION requires no work.It is a gift from God to all who believe.All who have FAITH.
Salvation is by faith ALONE.
Perfection comes through work.AFTER SALVATION.God has saved us,promised us salvation yet we are not son’s of God,we are not members of the body of Christ until we become alike to Christ.
This happens as a result of ‘winning our race’,receiving the ‘victors crown’,as Paul describes it.The race has many obstacles to ‘overcome’ as Jesus puts it.
This is ploughing our field and building our house,as proverbs describes it.Being yoked to Jesus is also written.The yoke is for work.
If we think we have no work to do then we accept sin within us.We expect our Father to forgive our sins even though we do nothing to resist our sins.We accept our sins and expect God to do the same.
What happened to the need for REPENTANCE and renewed minds?
What happened to resisting temptation.We are required to resist to the point of shedding our blood.God told Paul to tell us that.

I saw the people of God scattered in dark foreboding waters. They were broadly scattered and mostly trapped into an apathy of the status quo. As I looked I could see that many were comfortable being scattered and overcome by the spirit of the age, but I sensed a storm was about to shake many out of their apathy and awaken them to repentance and revival…
As the sea began to roar in the coming storm I was able to see
that many individuals were alone, discouraged and struggling as
the waves and wind began to beat upon them. Some began to
realize the bondage and danger they were in and call out to God,
seeking a way of escape, many had begun to seek out others in
the tossing waves and together they had managed to keep their
heads above the swelling storm and encourage each other to
hope and trust in Christ.
I was fascinated and moved with empathy and compassion as I
saw my brothers and sisters struggle and endure; what I saw
happen next amazed me. Those who began to seek a way out of
this ocean of bondage were lifting their heads, seeking their Lord,
seeing a glimmer of the revelation of His kingdom, power and glory
and beginning to move towards the brightening land that was visible
on the horizon of the dawning day. Those that did this were for a
time fighting for their lives as the waves tried to push them down,
crashed over their heads as the wind stung their faces and sought
to blind them to the hopeful vision they were beginning to see.
Those who didn’t struggle had no such drama and were carried
along by the storm, spared the battle that these others were
going through. Some struggled for a time, became discouraged
that things seemed to get worse and lay back, defeated in the dark
waters.
As I watched those that refused to quit, it was as if these
persevering, praying, struggling saints suddenly became vessels,
like small fishing skiffs, or mullet boats as we call them. The wind
and waves tried to sink these vessels but as they got their bearings
and began to steer the course towards the growing glory, the bows
of the boats rose above the waves and the wind filled the sails and
sped them towards their destination. Because they had persevered
and not been thrown off course these people began to rejoice in
the stability and freedom they were experiencing now they had
escaped the clutches of the raging sea.
I was excited as I saw that this was God’s church that was being
raised up, those in the vessels were of one heart and mind,
focused on the Lord, His kingdom and glory and filled with hope
and joy. Some of these vessels would rescue others as they sailed
along and had soon grown into a great multitude. As I saw what I
believe the Spirit told me was the end time church, I was impressed
that they were what could best be described as a powerhouse of
encouragement, unity of purpose, prayer, proclamation and exhortation.
I saw one of these vessels cutting through huge waves that were
seeking to drown a group caught in the storm. A cry of intercession
came forth from the body of believers in the ship that had a power
like holy violence, it was as though the darkness was in an instant
driven back and the roaring waves scattered. The sacrifice of these
vessels, in seeking to save those lost in the worst of the storm
meant they had to turn aside from their straight path and the comfort
of rising above the waves, and again be for a time be beaten and
tossed by the storm, but love enabled them to endure this for the
joy of seeing captives set free. I was weeping as I saw this great
love and sacrifice for the sake of others being expressed by the church…………

There is more of this vision if you care to read it but the time seems to be upon us – that we must start seeking for the Baptism in the Holy Spirit – with whatever it takes. For only with the power of the Baptism will we truly be able work, as God’s servants, in this coming storm of calamities.

As I read the dream posted above I was made to stop at the foreboding waters.
I heard, what do you see? I said to the Lord I see the enemies of man’s soul being destroyed.
So I pondered this for a minute only to be taken back to when Moses, had taken the Israelite people through on dry ground.
He stood before the sea of indecision and troubles, and lifted up his staff in hand and said, Be still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.
Ex. 14:14
The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace/be silent.
Thus they did nothing and yet we see Yeshua perform the work of righteousness Himself and not by the works of righteousness we have done.
Allow me to disagree with some of you here…
There is really not much apathy in the church today. In fact there is a great deal of busyness with all kinds of programs and meetings. One of the devil’s strategies to keep us ineffective is to keep us busy (preoccupied).
There are two very different types of works as recorded in the Bible. One I’d like to call “Marthaism” and the other Jesus focused surrender. Martha was working hard in the kitchen. Most people would argue that there is certainly nothing wrong with being hospitable and serving a guest. However, it was Mary who chose the right thing by sitting at Jesus’ feet. (Jesus, in His power, could have provided a 5 course meal at the snap of His finger.)
Many Christians are indeed very busy with meetings, seminars reading books and watching video’s or DVD’s on how to prosper while trying to find a formula they can apply to receive material blessings.
The problem is not a lack of works, rather, it is the KIND of work and its roots that we should look at.
“We cannot please God by what we do for Him in our own human effort, we can only please Him by surrendering and letting Him work in and through our lives.”

There are intervals between the darkness and the reality of our Lord Jesus coming or we would not have been instructed to endure. Remember that to die, or loose our body is gain.
Only ask the Holy Sprit through Jesus to search your heart in order for repentace to make it possible for the lamp to be full of oil. This oil will make it possible to walk through these times coming without fear. This fearlessness and hope manifested through His Bride are the things that will be the Light to the Gentile Nations.
The darkness and fire of the Lord will purify His Bride to raise up a Standard against it.

Indeed, we must hold on to our peace, to simply rest in Him ( as we are led by Him ) and to be still ( listening to Him ) and He will deal justly with our enemies.

WOW Watchman, DEAD ON with both of your last two posts. The Martha/Mary thing came to mind earlier, but I felt like I had said my peace, and that God did not want me to say more at that time. And with the hope that the Holy Spirit will lead people to the true works of God. But, I now feel that perhaps God wanted someone else to pipe up, other than myself.
Unfortunately, you are all too right that Christians are so busy “serving God” that they never think for a moment to see if they are really serving God, or building their own egos and self will. Derek is right, that we are to be like Jesus. What does that look like?
Does it look like me saying “I will do this, or I will do that, FOR GOD”. Well of course for God, cause if I realised it was for myself, I’d feel bad. So, I force myself to believe I’m doing the work of God, all the while churning about making works of wood, hay, and stubble.
Or, does being like Jesus, look like someone who does *nothing* except he hears the Holy Spirit tell him?
In other words, which Jesus do we serve? The one of self will, born of the flesh, the bondmaid’s child. Or the one of being lead of the Holy Spirit, being like the wind, never knowing where we’ll go, or what we’ll do next. i.e. the freeborn, born of the Spirit.
I believe in both being “led by the Spirit” and “doing” too.
I have seen a lot of people excuse their “doing nothing” for years and years by saying they are ‘waiting’ on God.
Judge by the fruit.

I agree Andrew. However, we, as mere humans are unable to judge these things. As God does not judge on the outward fruit, but the inward fruit. The outward fruit is only a result of the inward fruit. Moses took 40 YEARS. What is it to us, if it takes God 3 years or 7 years to prepare *His* servant for what He wants them to do. Paul was essentialy accused of being a Calvinist (sin that grace may abound), which of course he denied.
