Hope on "THE CHURCH and THE TRIBULATION"

I also believe we will live through tribulation. apparently the original word the translations of tribulation were taken from refer to its impact on believers.

We need to see the truth so we can be prepared, it is a time we will need to be able to hear the voice of the Lord. And this may be compromised if there has been a strong belief of rescue only to find it was incorrect.

It is not a nice prospect, and in all honesty I fear that faced with a horrible death that I would fail Jesus, I trust however that God would be there to assist me, after all the thousands who have to face this even today, do not fail, and they too are just ordinary people. It is God that is extraordinary.

One thing I have noticed particularly over the last year, is that he seems to be taking many church held beliefs and exposing faults within them, revealing the truth, and building confidence.
God Bless
Hope

I am in complete agreement with Bondslave. How rare is this truth about tribulation in this modern age of comfort and ease. He and the one quoted are correct about the great tribulation and the presence of overcoming Christians on this earth. It is refreshing to see this truth preached and taught by others, as it is exactly as I have been taught by Pastor Steve Brown since right after I became a believer.

This is very interesting, I wonder if the reason that the wise virgins wouldn't give away any oil, is because the learning of the word, and incorporating it into your life takes time, and dedication. As any sort of preparation does and therefore cannot be given away in a moment either And while making sure one stays in the right place to be there for the return of the Lord in a pure state takes continual time and dedication therefore could interupted continually to replenish the lack in others.

And that is why they sent them back to the oil supplier, or the Holy spirit so that they could learn scripture and make it part of their lives also, but there wasn't time.

Maybe we have a finite time to build a foundation in our lives based on scripture and the teaching and leading of the Holy Spirit, that is what gets us through the night.
Probably each depending on our own spiritual maturity, I don't think God would penalize those who are newer, but the dedication to prepare is crucial...just a thought.

Thanks God Bless
Hope

The differance is the Wheat belong to Jesus and the tares belong to satan rather they were once saved and fell away into aposasty or just never saved.

I do not see one who has never been saved refered to in scripture as a virgin or being pure in Gods eyes and it speaks of all 10 awaiting Jesus coming.

But the ones whose light was burning out once had the oil/Holy spirit.

Only those whom are Christs and have his Holy Spirit whom stay filled shall enter in is what it seems to show.

I, too, like the way you spaced the verses. As I read them, each one stood out.

Here's a question ... do you think the wheat and the tares might be synonymous with the wise and foolish virgins? They're growing in the same field (a "Christian" field?) and to the average observer, they look alike.

Question:
In reference to another conversation, could knowledge of scripture be the reserve of oil the five wise virgins have.

Hope you bring a good question here - I had been also thinking on the - TEN WISE AND THE TEN FOOLISH - all Ten refered to as Virgins - all ten having lights - as they awaited the bridegroom.

Yet when the bridegroom came only five were ready and accepted by the Bridegroom - and five were rejected - left completely Naked of any oil for their lamps - and saddly were found no longer with light that they once had there lights were going out.

Scripture does show us The lamps refer to THE WORD OF GOD, The oil refers to the HOLY SPIRIT.

Psalm 119
105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path

So the word you mention it seems both had knowledge of the Word of God both knew the Lord was coming.

I believe Luke gives us a clue of what has happened here.

Luke
"No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that
THOSE WHO ENTER MAY SEE THE LIGHT.

Seems the five wise had a continuel flow of the word which Proverb 4 tells us it brings life and healing - and they keep the word unhidden and - FULL OF OIL - even an abundance of oil - looking forward to his return.

In otherwards they were Christ true light - a living and walking testimony - full of the Holy Spirit and built up in his word planted in good soil.

I believe Luke was stating here - those who walk in the light who are continually full of the Holy Spirit of God emulate his light and the Holy Spirit - and those whom are around them can recognize them as Christs.

I would suspect Jesus was refering here of the five foolish virgins as one knowing the word and believing the word once full of the oil/Holy Spirit had fallen away and was no longer a light - having lost their saltiness and the Holy Spirit had left and Jesus said:

Depart from me I do not know you.

Proverbs 4
20 My child, pay attention to what I say.
Listen carefully to my words.

21 Don’t lose sight of them.
Let them penetrate deep into your heart,

22 for they bring life to those who find them,
and healing to their whole body.

23 Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life

Is it possible Jesus also brings some more light to the 5 wise with the excess oil and the 5 foolish who lacked oil?

John 8
12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. ((He being the living Word)) If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

One having fallen away has forsaken the Living Word/Jesus Christ - and have lost their testimomy having lost their light - and have then lost their oil - the Holy Spirits departure.

It is the Holy Spirit that has marked us for redemption were are sealed by the Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1

Another example is Jesus in Revelation 2 and 3 - he speaking to the seven churches.

I believe we are witnessing the falling away right now and many think they are saved but yet have fallen.

Today many are so close to falling away - and we - must - keep his Word close to our hearts - AND - NEVER - let it depart from us - and walk in the Spirit continually being filled.

This is truely a Prophetic Word of Warning to the Body of Jesus Christ - That we stay in the Spirit - and that we hold on to His truth - His word.

GODS TRUTH IS BEING LOST TODAY and twisted to mean what it does not really mean - AND THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN REPLACED by false manifestations and fleshly desires and programs that cater to mans flesh.

HEBREWS 6 I believe refers to those whom have fallen away into aposasty.

God Bless you, Hope, Lynn

19 Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.

I HEARD THE LORD SPEAK - Give them my word.

1 This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ.

I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior.

2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.

Growing in Faith
3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,

6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness,

7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

10 So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.

11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Paying Attention to Scripture
12 Therefore, I will always remind you about these things—even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught.

13 And it is only right that I should keep on reminding you as long as I live.

14 For our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that I must soon leave this earthly life,

15 so I will work hard to make sure you always remember these things after I am gone.

16 For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes

17 when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

18 We ourselves heard that voice from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.

19 Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.

20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,

21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.

God Bless, Lynn

Gotta keep this beautiful thread going...

Feasts of the Lord Leviticus 23 are all about Jesus our Wonderful Savior

Passover:
OT: Israel's Deliverance from slavery in Egypt
NT: Jesus' sacrifice as our deliverance from the bondage of sin. There is so much here in type we could write a book (or another book for I'm sure one has been written already)

Unleaven Bread:
OT: Deliverance from Egypt in haste thereby not even taking time to add leaven in bread to make it rise.
NT: When we come to Jesus we totally in haste leave the world and its sinful allurements. For if we are in the world/Egypt we cannot please God.

First Fruits:
OT: Recognizing the bounty of the Lord with a wave offering of a sheaf.
NT: Jesus was the firstfruits of the promise of our resurrection.

Weeks/Pentecost:
OT: thankfulness for harvest to come
NT: Birth of the church, unity of Jews and Gentiles

Trumpets:
OT:Lev. 23:23-25 This is sort of the feast of the "watchmen" and noted as a period of rest before the great feast of Atonement.
NT: Some believe this will be the feast in which the Lord returns to us. Signifying or announcing the day (millenium) of rest and the atonement of Israel that all the major and minor prophets spoke of.

Day of Atonement:
OT: Afflicting of soul in remembrance of national sins. Memorializes the journey from Egypt. Cleansing priests and temple.
NT: Could be when the two branches of Zechariah/perhaps the two witnesses. Regardless it is a national day of atonement for sins of the nation.

Tabernacles:
OT: Memorializing the journey from Egypt living in temporary shelters/booths/sukoths.
NT: Could mean finally being forever with Messiah/Bridegroom.

Sacred Assembly:
OT: Commemorates closing of cycles of feasts
NT: I think means same thing. Perhaps after millenial Kingdom Revelation 21??

Some have said that the Spring feasts are "priestly" feasts and that the Fall feasts are more governmental/Kingdom feasts.
Anyway you look at it they are wonderful promises from our Messiah and hope for an awesome future that He has provided for us.
God bless you all!

Lynn, a good and timely topic, much of what you are writing is right now at the forefront of my heart. I believe He calls and then He prepares, in a sense maybe it is the call that sets things in motion for the preparation. Moses was called, then he began to try and fulfill his call in his own flesh before he had undergone his 40 years (!) of preparation before he was truly emptied of self and flesh, a vessel without mixture. As you were mentioning about false 'ministers', I believe part of the problem is their lack of preparation, they began in the flesh and are continuing in the flesh, they skipped the cross in other words and their flesh is not crucified.

I'm hearing this in my spirit strongly these days, what you said about being about our Father's business - we can only do that once we have truly stopped being about our own business, this is speaking of lives laid down. It is possible and a very common thing to be doing things for God that are really our business for God, instead of He doing His business for Himself through us as empty vessels. I believe He is getting ready to wake up His Bride, I'm hearing Him say by the things happening in the natural realm, to "occupy til He comes". There is 'revolution' in the air, the new man laying siege and calling for our old man to get off the Throne. Some kind of battle and tribulation for each of us personally until this is accomplished, and I pray for the Bride, for all of us, for grace unto repentance and for strength that our faith will not fail. We must get our old man off the throne of our lives, this is what it means to prepare, nothing less will do, it is imperative.

Part 2

Once God has empowered us with his Holy Spirits anointing for the Gospel of Jesus Christ - so as we may go and make - disciples/followers of Jesus Christ - We must keep it afresh.

I believe this is walking in the fullness of the Holy Spirit full of Gods love for those whom are lost and opressed.

Luke 4
18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."

This is our mission to walk in his footsteps of bringing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ - bring forth disciples - to heal the brokenhearted to set the captives free to heal the blind both physically and spiritually and those whom are oppressed.

To Proclaim - NOW IS THE TIME OF SALVATION.

I hear hundreds of times on christian forums - we are his people hidden away? for a future date? waiting our place in the dessert - yes God many times can and will do a wonderful job in his saint in the dessert - but it is just for a short season - those whom waited in the wilderness not stepping forth to take the kingdom died in the wilderness lacking the faith and trust in God to step out.

True he may have us hidden in the secret place of fellowship -every day - a must - BUT WE MUST NOT AND CAN NOT SIT IDLE - waiting for a future day ahead to be his servant and to be obediant to the call to go and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Matthew
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

And I will leave this to encourage you whom read here for we all whom belong to Jesus Christ Saved Baptised and Baptised in the Holy Spirit - walking in obediance to him - are his true disciples fully anointed of the Holy Ghost prayed up with fasting - made ready to go and do battle for the kingdom of God - his sent ones his true witnesses. Praise God for you all - LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE.

Isaiah 58
5 Is it a fast that I have chosen,
A day for a man to afflict his soul?
Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush,
And to spread out sackcloth and ashes?
Would you call this a fast,
And an acceptable day to the LORD?

6“ Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house the poor who are
cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?

8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.

       9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer;
You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’

      God Bless, Lynn

When God calls and sends one - he will - Never leave one powerless for the task in which he has sent him.

I believe the Holy Spirit to be a witness of what is spoken here.

We saints are called to be his witnesses his hands and feet - and I must say - if we whom are his - filled and Baptised with the empowering of the Holy Spirit - are not on the frount lines about our Father"s Business whom has sent us - bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God in spirit and demonstration - what he has given us prepared for the journey will grow stale.

See God never calls and sends one that he has not fully prepared for the task before hand - for it is impossible to have the call of God on ones life and to walk successfully in that call without God first empowering you prior to sending you - without this we walk in that of the flesh.

This is exactly why we have so many False Prophets and False Teachers among us today whom do not have the empowering of the Holy Spirit whom were never sent by God - and their deeds become works of the flesh and evil spirits.

Might I subjest scripture shows one - MUST BE - anointed with the Holy Ghost - AND WITH POWER - THROUGH THE FULL BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Saints this Baptism was given by God to the saint for the purpose of believers to be his empowered witnesses of the gospel of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. - and to walk in the power of his Holiness and Authority - to manifest evidence of his very life and annointing within you - not just to be a speaker of words - heard of man - but to be a living epistle a living walkng example of Jesus Christ within us to cause one to take note of what you are saying and to be drawn by the light in which you walk - by Christ that is in you.

The word says we can do - all things - through Christ whom strengthens us - as God sents us forth in the annointing to complete for him that which he has sent us.

See when God sendS you - all Three are involved to help pave the way - God Jesus and the Holy Spirit giving favor opening doors that may have been closed for the destiny God has prepared for you - what he has sent us for to accomplish for His Glory for His Name Sake.

See I truely believe each and everyone of us whom are his has a spiritual destination and we can not sit and allow it to become stagnant - losing the very saltiness the Lord has given us.

However we can not do this on our own - and arrive at this spiritual destination without this spiritual empowerment of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and God in it.

Acts 10

38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Acts 2

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive th' gift of the Holy Spirit'.

39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

The purpose of the anointing on one whom has been Baptised in the Holy Spirit - is to be continually filled daily with the anointing of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of lifting burdens and destroying the yokes that have bound men.

Saints if we are walking in the Spirit in his Love and full of the empowering of his Holy Spirit - empowering us for the gospel to walk in his Holiness and his power - his authority - his favor - proclaimg his salvation gospel of the Kingdom - in word and deed - setting the captives free and saved we truely have bore much fruit for the kingdom of God ALL FOR HIS GLORY.

I believe God wants to see this in all of us - step out in faith believeing he will give us good gifts and see us through our journey.

This is PART 1 of my writtings concerning these things.
I will finish a little later.

May we take these words seriously and be obediant servants of our Lord Jesus Christ - encourageing one another in him and to press on further.

Amen

CARL If one were to take the time to go through the word of God just showing all the Prophecys that have been fulfilled no one could ever deny the absolute Truth of God or his Word unless they were just totally set against God.

Of course there are still Prophecies yet to be fulfilled.

Thanks and God bless, Lynn

Lynn,

Thanks for your effort in bringing this list of Prophesies fulfilled in Him.

Some would have been given thousands of years before fulfilment.

Part 5

Christs birth prophecied

Isaiah 7:14
14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin[a] will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Fulfillment

Matthew 1
23 “Look! The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel,
which means ‘God is with us.’”

Micah 5
2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
are only a small village among all the people of Judah.
Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you,
one whose origins are from the distant past.

Notice Micah Gods Prophet - said here of Jesus - one whose origins are from the distant past.

Matthew 2
6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah,
are not least among the ruling cities of Judah,
for a ruler will come from you
who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.

Zechariah 9
9 Rejoice, O people of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
Look, your king is coming to you.
He is righteous and victorious,
yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—
riding on a donkey’s colt.

Matthew 21
1 As Jesus and the disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the town of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. 2 “Go into the village over there,” he said. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a donkey tied there, with its colt beside it. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will immediately let you take them.”
4 This took place to fulfill the prophecy that said,

5 “Tell the people of Israel,
‘Look, your King is coming to you.
He is humble, riding on a donkey—
riding on a donkey’s colt.’”

God Bless, Lynn
