Hi Carl & Jonathan 016.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
You are right, they will be with out excuse.
Rom 2:12  For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
He prevents an objection which might be made by the Gentiles, who even though they do not have the law of Moses, yet they have no reason why they may excuse their wickedness, in that they have something written in their hearts instead of a law, as men do who forbid and punish some things as wicked, and command and commend other things as good.
Not that they are without any law, but rather the law of the Jews.
1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

He shows that the pride of men was worthily punished by God, because they could not behold God, as they properly should have, in the most clear mirror of the wisdom of the world, and this wisdom is the workmanship of the world.
In Christ,
Bruce.

I am singing the song, "How deep the Father's Love for us" and I just thought how aptly it applies here!

"How deep the fathers love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That he should give his only son,
And make a wretch his treasure,
How great the pain of searing loss,
The father turned his face away,
As wounds which marr the chosen one,
Bring many sons to glory."

I absolutely love "Philips Craig, and Dean's" rendition of it. It is so powerful.

Bless you Jesus!

Great scriptures Bruce!

"The interesting conclusion I draw from this passage is that the Gospel is preached to all men through the evidence of Him in creation.

By this means He is the just judge of all mankind no matter how remote from the Law."

Amen Carl!

Hi Bruce,

Lots of good solid Word there thanks...

Just a question...

Your statement...
How do we know we are sinning? It is only by the law

I think a notable exception is in Romans 1

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

This passage speaks of those who have no reference to the Law being inwardly convicted in conscience and therefore by this are subject to judgement.

The interesting conclusion I draw from this passage is that the Gospel is preached to all men through the evidence of Him in creation.

By this means He is the just judge of all mankind no matter how remote from the Law.

Blessings

Carl Emerson.

Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

All of our faith, righteousness, sanctification, love, and the Holy Spirit, come from the Lord Jesus Christ. We have none of our own. No man can give you these things. They are gifts from God.

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

How do we know we are sinning? It is only by the law.

Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

We are justified by faith not by works.

Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus

We must acquire faith, that comes from Christ, through the washing of the word. So if you need more faith, then you need to allow yourself to be washed by the word of God. You need to be immersed in God’s word. ( Baptise or Baptiso is Greek, the English definition of which is immerse)

FAITH: Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Then comes God’s righteousness, that we acquire by faith OF Jesus Christ.

RIGHTEOUSNESS: Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

You will notice in the verse below, it is Jesus that is washing us by his word.

SANCTIFICATION: Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

It is the washing by the word of God that gives us faith. The word and Jesus Christ are inseparable. So as we see, Jesus Christ is our everything. Our hope is in the Lord. If when holding our Bible, we can’t say we have the true word of God in our hand, then Christ can’t wash us properly.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
In Christ,
Bruce.
