Then later, after James was murdered/martyred, and Peter was jailed for the next stroke...and the angelic deliverance....WHO? came to the door and recognized his voice at a major prayer meeting?..Rhoda . the servant girl!!allowed to participate in a major prayer meeting. Paul with Lydia and her husband...on and on. Paul said of Himself; " "I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. Therefore I urge you, imitate me." And John spoke of this more:.. " I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake." " I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning." "I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one. " I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father. " I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. "I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one." As the Apostles manifested God's heart, we can as easily say that this is the Apostolic heart...one unto all, and the least, with a burning love and commitment to see the church itself the same, and even more, than we would see our own very children, and grandchildren; to love and adore, and protect, feed, and nurture. It is this that I believe is the mark of the Apostle, and the mandate of the company of Pastors given at every church. These are men who manifest His glory, unto the laying down of their lives to love. Consider Paul with 195 deep gashes scarred upon his back, and the brutal stoning scars..[ remember; left for dead...they aim 20 pound rocks at your face and skull.....]...beaten with whip-like rods over and over... I think that this was supposed to discourage him? But his response...I love God's babies and children more than my meager life. "The Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me..... !!But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God!" This attitude is what it takes though, to get that pure heart, with that pure revelation too, for the sake of this body...to endure, grow up, and be conformed to His living image....and then these become grown up, and nurture others. I see - as Sandy alludes to above - that those who end up opposing this "move of God" - because that is what it will be - not a "movement of man" but a "move of God" - will not be "of God" but will be "of man"... It doesn't matter what they or others call themselves/them they will not belong to God... For what I have seen is the entire Church standing in Unity all around the world and worshipping the Lord in unity in their proper station - every part playing their part - and in Unity Glorifying the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ... Even as I type this I weep... This is the Heart of God... This will happen before He comes again to Reign and before we meet Him in the air - and so we will be forever with the Lord... Hallelujah!!! I see this and I rejoice... This is where all this humility is taking us, "No Smurf is left behind" said the children's movie our children were watching yesterday - I am not advocating the Smurfs by sharing this (smiley face) but the statement got through to me, "No Smurf is left behind" - the Lord does not want one of "these little ones" to perish in fact He explicitly says, "For it is not the will of My Father in Heaven that one of these little ones should perish"... His Heart is for Unity and He will achieve it, He has hand-picked those who will go before and lay out the way for the rest to come in - like you say Tom - and I've never seen it that way before but like a Sheep Gate where they are come in to safe pasture this is what the Lord will perform with His Own Righteous Right Hand in the Church - His Bride - on earth - throughout the entire earth - in this generation... And great will be the harvest of souls which are brought in through the demonstration of the Unity of the Body on earth... We are a picture of the Unity of the Godhead to the heavenly realm... What a wonderful picture it will be when we are gather around Him in praise and worship for our Wonderful Saviour as in Unity we give our all to Him - in freedom and in unabandoned Love for Him as we bask in the Freedom which He has bought for us... This is what I see and this is why I endure - for the sake of the prize... All it takes is one person to commit to this with all their heart and not stop - to give their life for this - and it will happen... One person - we have more than one person here who believes this and has laid down their lives for this and so we have it - in the Name of Jesus, We have it... And yes, the scriptures say for us to call no man father. But what it is speaking of is we are to call no man Father God. Not the fact that Jesus did not send us fathers on this earth at all. Nor is it wrong to call them as such, as long as we do see who they are, not lifting them up higher than we should do so. Just as we are to see our natural father as being someone to honour, but not more than we should do so concerning them either. In other words, what we do understand between the difference in the two. As there is no man that can take the place of Father God ever. But it is true, there are not many fathers today at all, just as the book says written by Dr. Mark Hanby as well. Which is one of the few books I have read in the past 25 years, come to think of it. :-) Thanks for sharing about this. As this is something that does need to be understood in order for us not to get unbalanced about this issue as well. Father, meaning bishops IMO. Bishops being those that are apostles under the Lord mainly. Even though I know that most see bishops as being pastors, I don't. I see those being in the same category as those the apostles prayed over and anointed to go forth written about in Acts chapter 6. Meaning the pastors, evangelists and teachers would come under the category of what Paul writes about in 1st Corinthians chapter 3 after speaking of the bishops, their being the deacons that are sent forth by the apostles to do the work of the ministry. And if you look up the meaning of deacon in the Greek, I believe you will find it does mean pastor as well. And of course. an elder would be all of the those that are walking in any of the ministry gifts of course, And perhaps others that are older in the Lord too. Not sure about that. As I see it though, the ones your talking about there Tom, are the ones that are the false apostles, prophets and teachers mainly, that are not yet even born again. Not sure why, but some years ago, I and another did a study on all of this. Our being in agreement about what I did just share here about this. As I stood, the Spirit of the Lord came on me in an unusual way, and I felt "the burning heart" consume me, and I prophesied. "WHERE ARE THE FATHERS?" "WHERE ARE THE FATHERS?" "WHERE ARE THE FATHERS?" I understood the why of that burden of God. The Lord Himself was responding to the lack of true Shepherds for His people, and very sad and grieved that it was so. I then wrote about seven national men who were in a place of authority, and only one, wrote me back, but with no answer. Eight years passed, and I had another visitation I suppose, by the Lord. I was on fire; my chest area and heart area burned hard, and I was keeling over in grief and indignation, and I prophesied again. This was God's reply to "Where are the Fathers?" They are coming, and at the same time, he is diminishing the role of the greedy shepherd. This is a sound indictment that explains what happens to men when they desire to dominate the church....they become greedy wolves in a feeding frenzy; Satan anoints them to make sure they are satiated on the innocent. Hear now, heads of Jacob! And rulers of the house of Israel. ! Is it not for you to know justice? ! “You who hate good and love evil, Who tear off their skin from them And their flesh from their bones, 3 Who eat the flesh of my people, Strip off their skin from them, Break their bones And chop them up as for the pot And as meat in a kettle.” 4 Then they will cry out to the LORD, But He will not answer them. Instead, He will hide His face from them at that time Because they have practiced evil deeds. 5 Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who lead my people astray; When they have something to bite with their teeth, [as a man would test gold..] They cry, “Peace,” But against him who puts nothing in their mouths They declare holy war. [ Jihad ] 6 Therefore it will be night for you—without vision, And darkness for you—without divination. The sun will go down on the prophets.! I sent this out to leaders then, in 1999, but because of the controversy of one of them, I extracted reference to him, and now post the prophecy as it was given to me. Also, when reading Andrew J. Hortons post on the "babies in the dungeon" thread...I realized that it was parallel, amazingly so, as to what the Lord has shown me. The true Shepherds ARE on the way. They will be all we ever hoped for, and will lay their lives down for God's lambs, in love, no matter the cost to them. THE SHEEPGATE January, 1999 Tom Watkins Things have changed recently. The Lord has established a sheep gate. Written over it is “Brethren” and “Freedom”. Every Christian on Earth must pass through it. The Prophetic Movement is over. He is jealous and passionate for them. The Pharisees refused to walk among them. Jesus loved Lazarus, Martha, and Mary, and many other nobodies like me, and you. Thank you Lord Jesus. The Pharisees hated Him for this. He could do nothing else though; it was His nature. “…but with force and severity you have dominated them…[Ezekiel 34 ] The Sheep Gate is receiving EVERY person as Jesus does. The Lord is on the other side with His Rod. HE is the good Shepherd. MINISTRY AS WE HAVE KNOWN IT HAS CHANGED. THE LORD IS FED UP. The Shepherds persecute and falsely prophesy against the heart of Jesus to preserve their place, power, and position. It is subtle, but real. ISAIAH 40, 3-6 ” A VOICE IS CALLING; “CLEAR THE WAY FOR THE LORD IN THE WILDERNESS!” “MAKE SMOOTH IN THE DESERT A HIGHWAY FOR OUR GOD!” LET EVERY VALLEY BE LIFTED UP, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL BE MADE LOW. AND LET THE ROUGH GROUND BECOME A PLAIN, AND THE RUGGED TERRAIN A BROAD VALLEY;………….THEN THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE REVEALED!….AND ALL FLESH WILL SEE IT TOGETHER!”…..for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it! The little ones, the helpless, the widows, the orphans, the unimportant, the diseased, and the driven away, the poor, the unlearned and the nobodies shall be exalted and honored by their King. The arrogant, the rulers, the Princes, the Pharisees, and all that sit on top, and leave the meek their crumbs, SHALL BE MADE LOW! THIS IS THE SHEEP GATE...[ and the Spirit of Elijah "] JESUS IS STANDING ON THE OTHER SIDE CALLING; ..” WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY CHURCH?”…WITH HIS ROD. A broad Plain is one body and unity. Equal love, equal mercy, equal honor…TO THE LEAST OF THESE MY BROTHERS. Jesus died for us ALL. He is bringing this to pass, and those who refuse this Word, shall be left out of end time ministry. They will NOT be allowed to touch anything holy. . They will NOT adorn the Bride. They will NOT even be allowed to wash her feet, unless they obey this word. That goes for every “leader”… [ servant ]. But for those who endure and receive it; they will be a part of the Revelation of the Glory of Jesus in His Holy Bride. They will be honored with clothing her; nurturing her, feeding Her, Protecting Her; ....even to the laying down of their own lives….and it will be glorious…..TO GOD…AND TO MEN. ”FREEDOM” Jesus is proclaiming freedom to His people. The fathers are coming forth. I have seen them in the end-times...[ another vision ] They are broken, humble and meek, and carry the heart of Jesus, and lead God’s people to the Lord Himself. They present the Bride to the King so that HE will be pleased. They are foot washers and they love the Bride. They lay their lives down and take great care, individually, as they walk and live in the midst of the church. They have the Fathers heart, even to the least and to all. They are offended over sin, and will weep over individuals, and grieve over individual sins, like greed, selfishness and immorality. They will eat with Mary and Martha, and hang out with Lazarus; just because they love the heart of the meek. They will be friends of sinners, and walk everyday on the streets as life givers. No office buildings, no schedule books, no appointments; but SPIRIT LED FATHERS THAT UNDERSTAND THAT ROYAL AND HIGH TITLE OF BROTHER! They [ the fathers ] will protect the freedom of the church, AND THE CHURCH WILL BE FREE. They will be given great authority, even as the 12 apostles, to protect her freedom. Many in leadership today will be jealous of this glory, and will want to steal it, for themselves and their ministries…… BUT THIS GROUP WILL NOT ALLOW IT. The Pharisees today who don’t repent and come through…..WILL BE IGNORED AND BECOME IRRELEVANT! And great joy and holy Presence will rest upon this Church, and true FREEDOM TO BE LOVED BY Jesus….even to the least. THIS IS THE SHEEP GATE.
