After hearing and watching him talk, I didn't have any conviction that there was any falsehood to what he said. In fact, my reaction was similar in thinking of how amazing that would be, that Jesus' blood would have literally been sprinkled on the mercy seat of the ark. What a story, and were it true, it would be something only God could ever orchestrate.</p> <p>Since there's no way to prove or disprove the man, I certainly don't go around saying this is what happened, but it's a neat thought. And yes, I would think the government of Israel would keep it a secret until just the right time if they had recovered it. There was supposedly some attempt to go in after it and all of the men died and had to be dragged out. My dad knew him and he had an amazing testimony. He came under fire (and still does) for making some seemingly outrageous claims, but he has more than a little evidence to back them up.
