Mark 8:35
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
What a time for this!
"I am working hard and investing my money in the Stock Market for my future." Some make statements like this. If I had my wealth in the stock market (personally speaking), I would 'come out of her' asap...even with a huge penalty. It will be more later.
I see this time as crucial for people of God to ignore what the world says is a good idea. We should have always been living simple and frugal. Mom should be home with the little ones. If dad only worked enouph to obtain Food and Rainment (1 Timothy6:8,And having food and raiment let us be therewith content! HINT: convert your 401k to this!!!) He would be home more too. What happened to our garden's? Where is our livestock?...the riches in scripture that were edible. Dollars don't taste good, even with lots of ketchup.

Quote:
If this "second wave down" has not occurred by the end of 2011
then I will need to issue a public apology to the Body of Christ.
Please hold me to this. I am happy to be held accountable for
the things I have prophesied.
Me:
I wonder what a wave down means? Earlier it was talked about a double-dip depression. Perhaps a recession was meant as we haven't had a first depression yet.
Still it is now impossible to have a recession in 2011 - as a recession is two quarters of negative growth and the third quarter of 2011 was positive. Therefore you can't have a recession in 2011. It might start in 2011 and then become a recession in 2012 but nobody would be able to say for sure until almost mid-2012.
However at this stage projections are still for positive growth for the last quarter of 2011.

We have been in a Depression since Sept 2008 when the collapse occurred. Depressions come in phases - but it has never stopped being "very ugly" since then. That is why over 42 million Americans are on Food Stamps.
ECRI says we are now in the second 'Recession' (wave) of this Depression. They say all their indicators say so. We will see if they are right.

Interesting ... Wikipedia defines depression (economics) as a sustained, long-term downturn in economic activity in one or more economies. It is a more severe downturn than a recession.
http://www.dictionary.com gives something similiar.
Who is 'we'? Is it the US? The US isn't in a recession so can't be in a depression.
I guess if we pick and choose our definitions of what words mean we can prophesy anything and say it fits our definition of what we meant it to mean.

It is very simple. Let me fill in more detail-
The USA has been in a Depression since Sept 2008 when the collapse occurred. Depressions come in phases - but it has never stopped being "very ugly" since then. That is why over 42 million Americans are on Food Stamps and U6 unemployment is over 16% in the USA.
A "double dip" means that there seems to be a slight "recovery" for awhile - then another wave down. This happened in the 'Great' Depression also.
ECRI says we are now in the second 'Recession' (wave) of this Depression. They say all their indicators say so. They have never been wrong in 25 years. We will see if they are right this time.
God bless you!

Maybe the second part of the depression could be the one in Europe? Things are going very badly with them as well and the leaders there seem to be heading into the same kind of decision making the American leaders were forced into in 2008?
I don't know just sayin'.
God bless you all!

Yes - Europe certainly looks to be an additional factor in the "2nd wave down", Kathleen. Europe is a huge market and affects the whole world.
Bless you!

Why should we care about someone's predictions, anyway? If they claim to be of God and they are wrong, then we know they are a false prophet. If they are right, we know God showed them.
Let's not get caught up in such things.

The church is falling apart as people look to "prophets" and "dreams" and "visions." Where are the men of God who cry out against sin in the church? Who expose the wickedness within? Who teach right and wrong and clarify the deception, shining light upon it? Who exposes the idolatry of America and so many nations? Who condemns the wicked behavior of those in power? Who stands with the lowly, powerless Christian who is persecuted and forsaken?
Forget this worthless following of visions and prophecies. Repent of this false spiritualism and corruption of Christianity. Focus on Christ and His Word and leave behind this vanity.

diemooieen,
with all respect, I think you are out to prove something, but you don't have a leg to stand on.
The US is in a depression, and so are Europe. Finish.
God bless you.
