@wakarusaguy- Thanks for your participation in the thread. :)
God being Liberal? I hope you're not being serious and it's more of a 'tongue in cheek' kind of humor. It really hard to tell on these kinds of forum.
Liberty and liberalism are polar opposites, and since Gods gov't is founded in Liberty, liberalism is the opposite, a construct of satan and his gov'ts.
All of man's gov'ts are of the 'liberal' satanic inspired gov'ts, because the Lord truely isn't head of mans gov'ts, although only 2 nations in history have come close. Ancient Israel, and America (Canada/USA).
In His Kingdom mind you, which can't come fast enough for me, there will be liberty and no liberalism. :)
I use the conservative/liberal examples, because one tries to preserve our original intended rights as founded in the Declaration of Independance, while the other desires to restrict them and then shift power and authority from the people to the gov't, which is never a good thing.
If believers when they vote, cast their lot with liberals, then admittedly, they either have little to no understanding of the Word and His gov't, or they're willfully ignoring the truth and desire what man can provide for them.
Bottom line, libearlisn and Liberty are diametrically opposed.
You don't support the Democrats and NObama do ya? :)
Thanks again for your post. I look forward to seeing more.
"God going liberal..."
Of course God is liberal: when we use the honest definition of "liberal," as God does.
Politicians' definition...particularly the one crafted by "liberals' " enemies...is hardly honest. It's also useless for understanding God's liberality. Likewise politicians' definitions of "liberty" and "rights" (you realize the founding fathers were politicians) instead of God's definitions.
What results do we want ? Use God's definitions to understand and act on what God says: politicians' definitions to deceive (and be deceived). A "conservative vs. liberal" worldview provides context for (self-) deception, a counterfeit of actual spiritual warfare.
Christian or not, I don't think it's hard to understand the profound foolishness of accepting, much less operating on, politicians' malleable words and views. For Christians, the question is even sharper: do we have the mind that is in Christ, or the mind that is in the world ?
