Valley Harvest Church in Neenah, Wisconsin is hosting Todd Bentley for a "Midwest Outpouring" in Neenah, WI June 9-12, 2011. Here's a link:

You may remember Todd Bentley from the controversial revival meetings in Lakeland, Florida last fall. While there were people saved and healed in those meetings, there were also many things that happened that many say were not of God. At the end of the revival Mr. Bentley divorced his wife in order to marry his secretary. You can read much about the controversy on the internet.

Please begin to pray very hard for us here in Wisconsin and for Todd Bentley. If God wants to use Todd Bentley to bring an authentic revival to our area, then praise be to God, and we welcome it. On the other hand, if this "Midwest Outpouring" will bring spirits not of God into our area, then we must stand up against it in prayer. God is in the midst of birthing true revival in our area, and it is likely that the devil will do whatever he can to keep it from happening. A "false outpouring" of demonic spirits would cause great harm to the body of Christ in our area.

Please begin to pray hard. Please pass this on, but use discretion. Many within the body of Christ may go to this outpouring to "see what it's all about" not realizing they may be in danger. It would be better if some never know about it.

May God shine the light of His truth upon this event. Lord, if this event is not of you, please cause this event never to take place. Lord, please protect the body of Christ here in Wisconsin. Lord, please protect the seeds of true revival that have already been planted here and are being watered. We pray this in the precious name of Jesus.

Let there be Light, Father, let Your Light dispel the Darkness in all those who live and visit Wisconsin. Take possession of the land and the people of Wisconsin and come against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of that state, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

If he is openly in adultery its certain he will not be bringing the Spirit of Jesus.

How can Todd Bentley bring a revival of the Most High God who is Holy. Todd Bentley divorced his wife and is now living in adultery.That's what the word says. Divorce is not the unforgivable sin. But where is the demonstration of repentance.

I have no words that this so called man of God is supposed to bring God's glory to the world, yet for the sake of the incredible monies he took in and the power and position of "ministry" he cannot take the time to be restored and to believe God to restore him to his family. He marries into the relationship of whoredoms. YOU see he can't go back. What could he do for a living that would bring in that kind of money. He is too big to go back. He couldn't humble himself that much and just be an ordinary person.

Forgive me if I sound so hard. His testimony is a travesty to the body of Christ.He preaches a false gospel.

just to add that TB has always been fortified in these twisted ways by those behind him who are likely more dark than him.
some people have many 'friends' but not for their own good.

I have to respectfully disagree. We need to be very discerning about all such claims. There is a massive history of deception in this whole area. It was also claimed that there were 30+ resurrections at Lakeland, but none were shown to have happened and several were proven false.

Todd Bentley was shown to be a liar at Lakeland, and there is no evidence that he has repented or changed his ways. He is a master manipulator who will exploit people to the fullest extent possible.

It makes me very sad that there are people in the church who are willing to promote him. Some may well believe he is a "man of God", others are probably similarly corrupt. The best cause of action is to warn people about him and pray that they stay away from the meetings.

absolutely - stay clear of the demonic spirits this man walks in - he truely walks in spirits of deception - and if one who reads here has not seen the videos Andrew has posted here on the Home page - warning of the Kundallini Spirit that is imparted in his meetings - go - run - and view these videos.

If we casually imbrace his meetings or any part of him we are just as guilty if we cause one to stumble under the influance of his witchcraft.

He has a tatoo on his arm that is an upside down Jesus and when he raises his arm up it turns into a monkey - mocking our precious Lord and Savior - who shed his precious blood for us.
He calls the Holy Spirit - BAM!

He teaches Guided Visualization and Portal travel - and angelic worship - PLEASE I PRAY - STAY CLEAR OF HIM AND THOSE WHOM ARE EMBRACING HIS RETURN!

I wouldn't focus on any possible demonic spirits that may afflict Todd. People may disagree with that and it's hard to prove your point. The man is a manipulator, liar, adulterer, false prophet, and false teacher. That's all factual and leaves no scope for debate.

Have you watched the videos Andrew has posted here on the Home page or read his book he has written exoposing the spirits Todd Bentley and his friends and conferance aquaintances walk in?

I can tell you I have expieranced what they walk in several years ago and they are spirits of darkness and deception. I was with some of this group for a year of my walk - it is truely by the grace and intervention of God alone I radically excaped these demonic spirits they walk in.

Please let us not take this casually he is a dangerous man to the body of Christ as are many in this group.

His guided Visualization is an open door for demons - the New Agers call them spirit guides.

Please stay away from him he knows exactly what he is doing except he too is totally deceived and will continue to deceive others.

@ harvestisripe - I have watched Andrew's videos but haven't read his book. I take a different view (based on careful research) that there is a psychological explanation for most (if not all) weird manifestations etc.

Most of us are unfamiliar with mind control and hypnosis, so we spiritualise the resulting experiences and attribute them to either God or satan. In reality this is just our brains playing tricks on us.

The reason I said avoid focussing on demons with Todd is that it's subjective - it all comes down to experiences. Yours may have been bad, others may be good. But there is hard evidence of Todd lying etc, so that provides objective evidence that he's to be avoided.

I agree with all on this. My husbands aunt, who was very elderly, living in Florida at the time he was there, wrote and asked me about him. Fortunately, Andrew had sent out a NL warning people about him, my passing it on to her, their deciding not to go. I told my husband at the time, I thought it somewhat strange that she even wrote and asked me about him. As they had been Christians for many many years of course. But it was no doubt the Lord. Plus if it had not have been for Andrew, I would not have known anything about him at all.

I am very familiar with hypnosis and mind control simply because at one stage in my life, I practiced ‘psychotherapy’, and I was very good at it. I REPENTED of this demonic practice, because GOD HAD MERCY ON ME...HE LED ME OUT OF THAT DECEPTION. I am forever grateful for HIS MERCY - HIS GRACE!

Do not be deceived that it is always “just our minds playing tricks on us.”

Put on the mind of Christ! This is the scripture that culminated in my tirade, and anastasia God bless and keep you.

@Gramma1: I've always said that there may be some demonic activity in this sort of situation, and I don't rule it out - I just think it's actually very rare indeed. We're both agreed that it's bad, and we'll just have to disagree on the details.

Bottom line is that an unrepentant TB and his circus will bring with it deception and open doors to the demonic just as it has proven itself to do in the past. Lynn rightly pointed out that his guided visualization practices open doors to the demonic. See the thing is these practices (not unlike many modalities of psychotherapy) can be so subtle and can appear to be sweetness and light my dear, so be sure to move with caution, and yes we may just have to disagree on the details.

Thanks to all for your prayers and comments. PLEASE continue to pray. I cannot emphasize enough how we need all of you praying for the next couple of months ... that God will prevent anything bad from happening here, etc. We need you, the body of Christ, to continue interceding about this situation. The last thing we want to see here is another Lakeland or Toronto or ...
