Dear friends,
My name is Margaret. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Am not affiliated with any denomination, but love the church that Jesus said he would build.
Years ago, after much searching for what is life all about, why am I here – meetings here and there, someone told me about a church in San Francisco. So one Sunday morning in November 1972 I got in my car, drove across the bridge to San Francisco and found the Full Gospel Greek Evangelic Church. Pastor Gianakos kept saying – Come to Jesus. Well, when he gave the altar call, you could not have stopped me. I went forward and my life has never been the same since.
Suddenly, Jesus became very real to me.
And just as suddenly, the Bible became my most precious possession, and still is, and I knew it was true from Genesis through Revelation, and that it was not my privilege to pick and choose which parts I wanted to believe.
Although I knew something had definitely changed in my life, I didn’t have a clue what had happened.
I had always had a Bible, Mom had made sure of that early in life, but I had never really read it. And now I couldn’t put it down. I remember that as I read, every once in awhile I would think – Oh, that’s what happened to me!
Well, that was many years ago, and since that time, those that stand out as bringing special inspiration and encouragement into my life and that I learn from are –
This wonderful website that Andrew has provided.
It’s great to be able to read and learn from the articles that come in the email, and the ongoing discussions on the forum.
Also very special: David Wilkerson, Brother Andrew “God’s Smuggler” of Open Doors, and Watchman Nee.
I really appreciate all your lively discussions. Thank you so much.
Margaret
