Hi Andrew.
I think I probably need to ask some more specific questions in order to understand your perspective on this.
When I see people induced to convulse in panic by a corrupt preacher I do not interpret this as evidence of the intervention of an evil spirit, unless of course when you say 'spirit' you are using the term as a facilitator or building block of a dialogue that discusses the evil interventions of men with demonic intentions. So, in order to understand your perspective more clearly I have some questions that relate to my point of view, and Kundalini Yoga.
If Kundalini Yoga, in it's true form, is designed to be an art of raising human awareness and consciousness to a point where an individual can gain direct experience of, and unity with God, how is it that this practice is evil? How is it that this practice is any different, though referred to with different words, from the practices that the messiah himself engaged in?
Also, if Kundalini Yoga, in it's true form, is designed to bringing about peace, happiness, love and compassion in a practitioner, along with an ability to perceive things from a more enlightened perspective - whereby all things are in union under the guidance of the one God - how is this in service of evil, and how is this out of line with the teachings of the messiah?
I have become aware, through this site, of a great deal of corrupt practices that go under the name of Kundalini, but they have no relationship with Kundalini Yoga. The people who take up these practices have no idea what Kundalini Yoga actually is. They are often lost in projecting imagined powers, and/or spirits, on to something that is actually just a practice of bringing the nervous system to a state of peace, whereby it can be allowed to experience the creation with a greater degree of harmony - and from here can be used as a way to witness our divine connection with God, as children of the living Father.
It is worth noting that there are no spiritual practices that have not had their terms misappropriated by charlatans over the years, and Christian practices have fallen prey to this kind of abomination also. I still think that the truth behind Kundalini Yoga, an ancient form of union with God that pre-dates the Torah, is worth looking in to by anybody who wishes to understand the messiah, and how he achieved perfection.
I find this quote form the Bible is very pertinent, as I interpret the practices of Kundalini Yoga to be one of the old or ancient ways that it is referring to.
JEREMIAH 6:16
"Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein." KJV
"This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'" NIV
I think it is wise not to reject the truth of Kundalini Yoga on the basis of liars like Rodney Howard Brown's abominations, simply because of the warning I find in the words above. Kundalini yoga is an ancient path towards the raising of man's awareness of truth and of God, and of his union within and without.
I find that the kind of union that Kundalini Yoga describes, and brings about awareness of in practice, is more clearly explained by the words of the messiah when he stated that "to love God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your mind, and all of your strength; and alike to this is to love your fellow man as you love yourself". I believe that the kind of union that is represented by loving God and loving all human beings equally being alike to each other in practice, is exactly the same as the union brought about by true Kundalini practice. I also believe that when we reject it on the basis of liars who do not know what it truly is we are in danger of being one of those who refuse to "walk in it" - out of ignorance.
