   Sometimes I wonder.

   Sometimes I wonder if people are more interested in theology than they are in finding the mind and heart of Christ.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   I wonder if they are more interested in understanding God’s truths intellectually than they are in their willingness to live by those truths.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   I wonder if people seek the wisdom of theology over the understanding in one’s heart and soul. If their knowledge is ‘mind applied but heart denied’.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   Sometimes I wonder if all their study and constant debating does not go beyond ‘the need to know’ and find it’s way into an emotional love of the Lord Jesus Christ that might drive them to evangelism. Not evangelism to create another intellectual, but to save a lost soul through preaching the truth…increasing the kingdom…and pleasing God.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   Sometimes I wonder, when these theological debaters hear some truth, and ignore it, is it because some truths appeal to the emotion of truth…rather than the psyche? Does that make it lose it’s importance?

   Sometimes I wonder.

   how true you see, that would mean they wouldnt get to debate on how much more they know then the other or others. Kinda like the republicans against the democrats-\
   However there are NO winners in debates... ( people choose sides, whos argument is the better) who cares, Gods word will stand above all the debates and that is what our focus should be on , HIS TRUTH. Tearing it apart is NOT revelation of the Holy Ghost, thats for true!
   It truly takes away from the True heart of Gods word.... 10 fifteen pages go by and they are still circling the wagon... such a waste of time...

   John 6: 63, "The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life." & James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

   If your Spirit be in control of your body and soul, then your works will come from faith and not from yourselves, and therefore, you are free to do good works without being under the law of sin and death. You will find yourself being lead by the Holy Spirt as a Son or Daughter of God for it is God who works in you both to will and DO for His own good pleasure as you take up your cross and follow Him everyday. It must be so in order for no man or woman to be able to boast so that God can be All in All when the Son Himself someday soon makes Himself subject to him who put everything under him. In others words, when your Spirit reigns over your body and soul (soul being mind, will, and emotions), then faith can not cease from doing good deeds, ie. works, that will pass the test of God's fire / judgment and reap rewards in heaven.

   Note: I didn't mean to sound intellectual, but merely expounding upon the 1st Post by Sontrans.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   If those that are set against an intellectual pursuit of faith are so because they are compensating for their own lack.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   How many people here use this forum as a conduit to express misplaced anger from past hurts, which manifests as heresy hunting and crusades.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   If those that rant against the “heresy of the week” actually have any legitimate idea about the object of their rant. Or if they are functioning in their own tradition of condemning anything that does not align exactly with their own beliefs.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   How many in this forum think their narrow view of God is the only theological concept that is acceptable.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   What the regulars here are actually doing for the Kingdom of God.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   If anyone is aware of the fact that the leaders whom are slandered on here haven’t even heard of this place and wouldn’t care if they did, and are continuing to serve the Kingdom of God while members here are remaining cloistered and isolated, effectively rendered ineffective by the enemy.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   How many on here have dealt with their issues in a healthy manner instead of allowing them to fester and then surface in other areas, lashing out at other people, organizations and movements because they were hurt by someone, somewhere.

   Sometimes I wonder.

   As for me I intend to keep circling my wagons because the battle isn't over yet unfortunately. It's not a battle against flesh and blood but powers and principalities with particular intentions to bring the flock back to Egypt. Remember that Pharaoh came after the Israelites in the wilderness. Keeping the armour of God on against the devils schemes.

   Where is the wise? a lover of wisdom.

   The scribe? the learned class

   The disputer of this world?
   teachers who DISPUTED DAILY in the PUBLIC PLACES!

   Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? All their worldly wisdom is EXCLUDED from the GOSPEL.

   CIRCLING WAGONS IS FLESH AND BLOOD, NO MATTER HOW ANYONE PERCEIVES IT! :) Debaters for the most and the wise in their own eyes will fight until they have worn everyone out endlessly. Sticking to the topic of sontrans post, that is a warring in and of the flesh and NOT SPIRIT LED.

    It is very easy and sometimes very dangerous to point finger while there could be a problem with ourself.

    We should each ask THE LORD to shine HIS light on every one of us and show us our own faults!!

    Zealot, I believe sontrans hit on something that is profoundly true, especially in the mainstream. If perhaps someone is pricked by it, than perhaps the Lord is dealing with some on the topic. AND, yes daily we should be asking the Lord to search and try our hearts, without a question. However daily we should be changing more into the likeness of Him:), flesh should becoming less and the Holy Spirit should be increasing as He abides within us. the Israelites toiled around longer than was needed and also turned to making their own idols. I dont want to go around and around , do you all? EYES upon the Lord, I believe we should all desire that with all of our hearts. However no difference today as than, we still witness and see the scribes, pharisees and debaters of this world .

    Ah, shucks, :)
    I was just heading out to cut the yard but I was still thinking about the Israelites, my goodness they had GOD in their very midst and they still reasoned in and among themselves. You know they couldnt keep there eyes upon GOD. We now have the Holy Ghost abiding within us and I thank God above and Jesus, Jesus is always with us and we tear scripture apart and we wear down others. what fruit does that bear?
    It is is fruitless and meaningless and also wearisome. We are called, called, called to bear MUCH FRUIT for the Kingdom of God is at hand and has been since Jesus blood was poured out for all of mankind. Let us not circle the wagon, the mountain or anything that would tear the Lords word apart. Again Im reminded of democrats verses republicans , choose your side, however there are NO WINNERS~that is what debating and fighting about and striving about Gods word is like~
