Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
All of our faith, righteousness, sanctification, love, and the Holy Spirit, come from the Lord Jesus Christ. We have none of our own. No man can give you these things. They are gifts from God.
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
How do we know we are sinning? It is only by the law.
Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
We are justified by faith not by works.
Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus
We must acquire faith, that comes from Christ, through the washing of the word. So if you need more faith, then you need to allow yourself to be washed by the word of God. You need to be immersed in God’s word. ( Baptise or Baptiso is Greek, the English definition of which is immerse)
FAITH: Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Then comes God’s righteousness, that we acquire by faith OF Jesus Christ.
RIGHTEOUSNESS: Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
You will notice in the verse below, it is Jesus that is washing us by his word.
SANCTIFICATION: Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
It is the washing by the word of God that gives us faith. The word and Jesus Christ are inseparable. So as we see, Jesus Christ is our everything. Our hope is in the Lord. If when holding our Bible, we can’t say we have the true word of God in our hand, then Christ can’t wash us properly.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
In Christ,
Bruce.
