   Satan will do anything to distract us from our sole purpose.

   Jesus first words to His disciples were 'come follow me and I will make you fishers of men'.

   Jesus last words were 'go into all the world and preach the gospel'.

   Satan sees faith in Jesus as a disease - to be contained.

   He has done a good job keeping faith in Jesus safely within the walls of churches and at seminars.

   He hates anyone going out and spreading the gospel.

   Satan doesn't care what you do if souls are not being saved.

   So my daily prayer is "Lord make me a fisher of men"

   This prayer agrees with Him, as it is His call to a disciple.

   As we know that this is His will, the prayer must be answered.

   Pray with me today...

   Lord make me a fisher of men.

   Carl - when my son was a little boy (7 yrs.) he woke one morning very excited to tell me that “The nice man showed me how to catch a fish with my hands.” Further discussion revealed his dream (it was so real to him he thought that it had literally happened and in the spiritual sense it did).

   He said as I recall: The nice man (who wore a white robe) knelt with him at the river and the man caught a sliver fish in his hands. The nice man then held him in His arms at the edge of the river and showed him how to catch a fish in his own little hands. He was so very excited that he caught a fish in his hands.

   End of dream.

   My son Luke is a man of God whose life is ripe with fruit born of his walk with Christ the ‘nice man’ who taught him how to be a fisher of men.

   I don’t recall where I heard this in the not too distant past, but it stuck:

   “Fishers of men’s lives are walking sermons!”

   Yes Lord make us fishers of men - God bless.

   That is my hearts cry. I have been getting to witness more and more. The Lord has been giving me a new boldness.

   I am tired tonight. I don't have too many words. I am going to start praying it that way...Lord, make me a fisher of men.

   Gramma.....Fishers of mens lives are walking sermons.....As I have been reaching out my prayer has been that I not just share words but the aroma of the Lord Jesus be apparent, be felt, be there. That I be a living epistle, the very life of God would be sown.

   I believe it is HIS hearts cry for us. That is why we are here IMO.

   I look at the first church and what they constantly did. Especially the life of Paul. He never stopped going to the world telling others about Jesus. And He also said in scripture, follow me as I follow Jesus. So if He did this, then so are all of us to do so too.

   In fact, if you look at the first thing he did do after Ananias was sent to him, ministering to him, after Jesus did reveal Himself to him. And IMO, that is also exactly what Paul did immediately while still in Damascus according to Acts 9:20.

   Amen!

   Gramma, one of the things that really touched me about your son's vision was how excited he was when he caught a fish. I just see that excitement as The Joy of The Lord and oh how we need that joy to be effective fishermen.

   As I walked my campus today I just felt such Joy and as I felt that joy I desired so greatly to minister to others and share that joy with those not saved. I can so often let my mood determine my willingness to minister or seek out others, but the Joy of the Lord gives us such great power to minister and have the boldness to do it!

   I love the dream your son had, too, Gramma. For me, I see it as encouragement that the Lord will help me, too, with the right way to catch a particular fish that He leads me to catch. This is my type of contact with people--I'm with individuals, not groups, and I feel unable to say or do what is really needed unless the Lord shows me. The dream encourages ME, at my age, that the Lord will hold my hand and show me how to be His fisherman, after taking me to the stream and pointing out the fish! I feel the need for Him for every step of it, but He IS here, to guide me (us) the whole way!

   Thank you Lord you are our joy and encouragement! As we hold fast to the Lord His Holy Spirit will lead us exactly where and to whom He will have us minister to and be ministered by. What I see in my son and others who bear much fruit in their lives is how deeply the Lord touches others, and more often than not, unbeknown to them. As they are filled daily with His Holy Spirit the Lord draws men to them. The scripture that comes to mind this morning in this regard is in Matthew 14, and how many people will be touched by the hem of Jesus’ garment in our lives that we may never even know about in this life (though the Lord knows).

   I am blessed that you all are blessed today - Bless the Lord!
