   I was on the plane again tonight heading down to Invercargill to inspect a pour of a "newish" (for New Zealand) concrete slab foundation system tomorrow morning and continuing to read the book where I got the revelation of the two trees which I shared on the "Religion vs Relationship" thread...

   This verse was at the beginning of a new chapter...

   Wow!

   The Zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this...

   My heart cried out, "Lord give me Your Zeal"...

   This is it...

   This is what we have been waiting for...

   This is what we have been looking for...

   The Zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this...

   Fill us Lord Holy Spirit with Your Zeal, Fill us Lord Jesus Christ with Your Zeal, Fill us Father with Your Zeal...

   I will build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it...

   And of the Increase of His Government there shall be no end...

   It is the Zeal of God which will build His Church in the same way that it will be the Zeal of God that will build His Physical Government on earth during the Millenial Reign of our Lord Jesus Christ...

   We need to ask God for the Zeal of God...

   New Zealand is Prophetically named The Land of New Zeal...

   It was the Dutch explorer Abel Tasman who named our country by this name, New Zeal Land...

   This was our Dutch "founding fathers" dream that this nation would be a land of New Zeal for God...

   The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa - the land of the long white cloud...

   I don't know if that Maori name is accepted by all tribes - maybe someone could enlighten me on this...

   but that name speaks to me of Unity - the entire nation under the long white cloud of Unity in the Holy Spirit...

   How can there be Unity when we - the Church of the Living God - don't understand that we have been accepted by our God?

   When we don't see that all who God has called to be born again - born of God - have been born irrevocably into One Family?

   How can we leave the ninety nine to go and save the one who is straying when we believe that it's OK for that one to be lost?

   How can we portray the Nature of God when we don't even believe the Nature that He's clearly shown us in His word?

   How can we be effective witnesses for Him when we don't even know the message that we need to preach?

   How can we show the world the Love of God when we don't even believe in the Love of God but preach a "love" which is "human" and which even the Gentiles can achieve?

   What is it that produces Zeal?

   It is a correct understanding of the Nature and above all the Love of Almighty God...

   It is the Love of God which causes us to lay down of lives for God...

   It is the Manifest Presence of God - the Tangible Presence of His Holiness which keeps us in reverence from sin...

   It is the Zeal of God which fills us and lifts us up to complete exploits for Him...

   How much more will He give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?

   How much more will He give us the Zeal of God, the Fire of His Holy Spirit to complete the work which He has called us to do?

   He is not unwilling...

   He is waiting...

   He is not unwilling to bring Revival to this earth...

   He is waiting for us to be so desparate that we can not live without Him being Glorified in our midst...

   His Zeal will accomplish this...

   It is His Zeal which will do the work...

   We will be caught up in it...

   Let Your Zeal Lord flood this nation in the Mighty Name of Jesus from the bottom of Stewart Island to Cape Reinga, through the Chatham Islands, the Cook Islands and any other Island which is under New Zealand sovereignty, let the Power, the Almighty Power of Your Holy Spirit flow and bring the Zeal of God to this nation in the Mighty Name of Jesus...

   The Zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this...

   It is Your Presence, Your Tangible Presence which gives the Power to live the Supernatural Life which Jesus lived while He was on earth...

   His disciples remembered that it was written, "ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL CONSUME ME." (John 2:17 NASB)

   Jesus was and still is and always will be filled with Zeal for His House - who is His House? who is His House on earth right now?

   It is you and me and everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord out of the pure heart which He has given us when He saved us,

   he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, (Titus 3:5 NASB)

   Another scripture which came to mind strongly, quoted in the book I was reading,

   All the people perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance. Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die.” Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.” So the people stood at a distance, while Moses approached the thick cloud where God was. (Exodus 20:18-21 NASB)

   What an amazing scripture!!!

   Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the Fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin...

   but the people didn't want to enter in to that fiery burning mountain where Moses was meeting with the Lord - they said, "No, you speak to Him on our behalf"...

   What I saw and what the author stated so clearly is that this is the mentality we still have today...

   Trust someone else to go up into the Presence of God and then we'll all just do whatever they tell us...

   No, we are each personally invited into the mountain,

   For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which sound was such that those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. (Hebrews 12:18-19 NASB)

   Moses tried to tell the people to come and listen and yet they were not willing they "stood afar off" as it were and let Moses hear for them from God...

   I really believe that if they had have come right up and cried out to God and said, "We want to enter Your Holy Presence to hear You speaking to us" then the Lord would have lifted that cordon and let them come in - I believe that was His desire and I believe that is still His desire today for each and every one of His Precious Saints to come with boldness into the Holy of Holies by the Blood of Jesus to stand in His Holy Presence and be given the Fear of Him and the Zeal of Him and the Love of Him to enable them to stand for Him wherever they go in this world...

   O Lord fill me with Your Zeal, fill me with Your Passion, fill me with Your Love, fill me with Your Fear...

   Let me weep for those who do not know who they are and their security in You...

   Let me weep for those who do not Know You at all...

   Let me weep and feel the burden for those who You are calling to Yourself...

   O God fill me with Your Holy Fire and Let the Zeal of God consume me...

   Consume me with Your Holy Fire...

   Consume us with Your Holy Fire...

   Create willingness in our hearts to enter the Fiery Furnance and be destroyed with you Jesus, to undergo that baptism which You had to be baptised with and to be made into Your Image in practical reality - as He is so are we in this world...

   Do it Lord, do it for the Glory of Your Kingdom, Protect us all from pride and let the Humility of Jesus cover us all like sackcloth and let the ashes be precious to our taste...

   Bring us to the foot of the cross, to the place where everything stands still and loses relevance in the light of Your Glory and Grace...

   Fill us with the Zeal of God...

   This is Your Work - only You can complete it - Fill us with the Zeal of God...

   I ask this in Jesus Name, for Your Glory Father, Thank You Lord...

   I have a question for you Andrew - which takes nothing away from your post, your desire, your encouragement, that we all should seek, and desire to have, the same 'zeal' for the Body of Christ Jesus, His Ecclesia (Church) - that Almighty God has :-)

   My understanding has been that New Zealand was originally named (by Abel Tasman) 'Staten Landt', on the incorrect assumption it was a part of the South American land mass, of the same name. Realizing this mistake, it was later named Nova Zeelandia, (by Dutch cartographers) after the Zeeland (Sea land) province of the Netherlands.

   In my understanding, it was James Cook who first used the anglicised name of New Zealand, 100+ years after Tasman's first naming.

   Both Tasman and Cook record that they met with the indigenous people of the land, whom we now know as Maori, and who had settled in NZ some 300 to 400 years prior to Tasman.

   I am wondering where you found your information that Tasman named the land 'New Zeal', and that: This was our Dutch "founding fathers" dream that this nation would be a land of New Zeal for God.....?

   Roger, similar claims have been made about the naming of Australia; that the translation of the original name was something like "Great Southland of the Holy Spirit" - however I recall reading that THAT name was actually given to Vanuatu not to Australia - but the term has been picked up and promoted by the charismatic church for some time as being prophetic in relation to Australia.

   For that reason Onesimus, I admit I'm very leery of hype and emotionalism, it's such a big part of the charismatic false prophetic movement. We need to die to such things and learn to wait for the Lord not run ahead of Him.

   Yes Mum, people can quickly get caught up with the latest charismatic fad or latest "prophetic" word but are slow in repentance and confession when the fad or word is cast aside and replaced by the next thing in line.

   Onesimus - a Portuguese captain declared "all the lands to the south" of Pentecost Island in Vanuatu as the "Great South land of the Holy Spirit". It was a pretty well-known thing. They were searching for the 'Great Southern land' for generations before finding Australia and NZ.

   But by no means was it ever an "official" name.

   ..I just wish there was more stopping to ponder and ask why when things go awry, there are always reasons and the Father would be happy to help us in our difficulty, if we would be willing to put things on the altar and let Him sift them for us, He is not a hard taskmaster. What I see in such cases is not a lack of zeal on the contrary there is a lot of zeal, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.

    I believe that one of those 'other' names for Australia, was New Holland - methinks a Dutch explorer had input to this name :-)

    The naming of the island of Tasmania off the south-east coast of Aus., is self explanatory., as is the stretch of sea between Australia and N.Z. - Tasman Sea.

    Well I guess as long as we don't take it too far about names and words, otherwise what hope is there for the poor nation of Turkey, especially at this time of year!

    Andrew J, seriously though I just love that verse in Isaiah 9:7 "...the zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this." Such hope in those words, and I think that once we die to our own zeal then His zeal can begin to manifest in us.

    Yes, it's definitely an edifying word. I receive it. I was not named Cory "prophetically", but the fact that it means "prosperous one" I have found much insight and wisdom in with regards to God's workings in my life. And therefore I receive it as the name He intended, though they that named me I'm sure had a different meaning in mind. New ZEAL-land brought me joy when I read it. Bless GOD and hallelujah.
