While a young Christian, I went with friends to the "Lutheran Conference on the Holy Spirit." It was an unusual event to say the least. There were men there that believed in the healing power of Jesus Christ. There was a small room apart from the main conference room where several of these men had gathered to pray for individuals who came in with physical ailments. I went in with some friends and one could feel the presence of God in that room. We watched others being prayed for.
I was reminded of a leg injury when I was in 7th grade. My leg had been stepped on by a 200 lb. football player with cleats during a play. That injury put me out for the rest of the season and in great pain from multiple blood vessels broken in my leg. The doc said I needed to put weights on my knee to help pull open my leg, which no longer wanted to extend all the way, but stay bent at the knee.
So while in this room with believers and a new believer myself, I went forward to have the minister check out my leg. He sat me down and extended my legs. Sure enough, the left (injured leg) was about 1/4" shorter than the other one. He was about to pray for me and was not touching me when all of a sudden, while everyone's eyes were opened, my leg grew out. It felt like the hands of God gently pulling on my lower leg. No pain, just fixing! Praise the Lord! How wonderful is Jesus!
