You hit on some good points of truth. When I read your post, I became stirred up. I felt led to look up the definition of imprint-you made great truths about music and the contemporary and of a returning to the old paths.
imprint:
1. To produce (a mark or pattern) on a surface by pressure.
2. To produce a mark on (a surface) by pressure.
3. To impart a strong or vivid impression of: "We imprint our own ideas.
4. To fix firmly, as in the mind: He tried to imprint the number on his memory.
5. To modify (a gene) by chemical means.

I felt led to share this because the vision of the papers piling up and all the copying and pasting that is done all over the net, from one to another and on this forum... from books, publishers, authors, men and women.... but folks its not the word of God , nor the Holy Spirit. thats a fact. I too have read few but great books, but I dont carry them around and I dont idolize the teachings of man.
God will tear all our idols down and away from you, if you dont surrender them. You and I must care what Jesus cares and what He desires for us to do we must obey Him and not ignore HIM. People the hour is late. I used to not think it was, but it is late....When He comes , will you be found in HIM? I ask you again, do you know that when the GOOD LORD comes, will you be ready? will you be found in Him, and on that solid ROCK?
Books and mens writings is not the TRUE word of GOD, its not...
Its another imprint of something else passed on and on.... He has caused me to feel sick and to be troubled by what He is showing me and it is still upon me today. Let us not be like the Isrealites at the bottom of the mountain lolly gagging around, while Moses is in the face of God atop the mountain. Dont turn away from Him and to what the Lord is speaking and showing forth in this late hour, dont wait til it is to late and the door is SHUT on YOU.
You can not say the Lord has not shown and you did not know because you do know. He is showing and speaking to those with ears to hear and eyes to see, WHY? LOVE!!! Because He loves us.
He will not force you, He gave us free will, SO you have a choice TODAY but come judgement day , it is His choice and you will have NO SAY!
This is not pretty what He is showing and saying and giving forth. It doesnt feel good inside of my belly and it is a disgusting picture of How He sees it!

What is more important to you, to feast of the banquet table of another, as the lady in this dream above is laying out before you, with little or no meat, only beakers of milk to sip in...a beaker is not very big and in this dream it was not very big. This table in this dream is not the table of the Lord, for the Lords table shall have NO flies feasting afterward...
This banquet has no untensils, these people are not equipped.
When you and I come to the Lords table and partake of His food , He will eqiup us and we will have those tools placed within our very hands by the Lord Himself, for the eating of His food. It will be Him who places the tools in your hands. No more self serving our own appetites and desires, let go and let God feed you and I with His heavenly manna and we will NEVER desire the spoiled food of others passed down.
God knows who He is speaking too in this. Some of you have been on the milk far to long and it time now to get into the meat of His word and the depth of His truth and what the Lord desires for you and for you to so desire what Jesus has for you and to seek it from HIM, from His face and eat of His word, to get it deep down into that belly .
Philippians 2

Hebrews 13:
20Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, 21equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever.
